Admire beautiful art at the KMSKA

Het Steen
Het Steen is the oldest preserved building in Antwerp. Throughout history, Het Steen has had various functions. It served as a castle, but it was also a court, a prison and a home for disabled soldiers. From 2021 onwards, Het Steen will have a new function as a reception centre where visitors and residents can go for information, tickets, bookings and exhibitions. Het Steen is located along the Scheldt and is ideal to combine during a walk along the water or follow the interactive trail and travel through the city and time. In a short time you will learn a lot about Antwerp and you will get a lot of inspiration for your further visit. Finish on the rooftop and look out over the Scheldt and the city.

Grote markt
On the Grote Markt of Antwerp you will find a lot of beautiful historic guild houses and sights, but also not to be missed nice terraces, restaurants and the well-known Brabo fountain with a statue of Silvius Brabo (who throws away the hand). From the Grote Markt you can admire the 16th-century City Hall of Antwerp ('t Schoon Verdiep as they say in Antwerp), which was designed by Cornelis Floris and is considered one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in the Low Countries.
Our Lady's Cathedral
Antwerp Cathedral is a Gothic cruciform church built between 1352 and 1521. The church is considered one of the highlights of Brabant Gothic and is also included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
